International Creative Metal Sponsored the Beach Wrestling Championship 2005

The president of International Creative Metal, Setrak Agonian was one of the biggest sponsors for the East Coast Beach Wrestling Championship 2005. As a wrestling supporter he felt very proud for staying behind this great event.

Love it or hate it, wrestling needs public exposure in the United States and this event brought Sports Illustrated and several other large media groups to cover a wrestling event. The organizers did a great job for a first event, especially given the brutally hot weather, and I'm confident that it will get even better in time.

The matches were fast and exciting, the sand was flying, and it's fun to watch because of the short matches. I don't think it will or should replace the traditional forms of the sport, but the 1000s, if not millions of people in the NYC area who watched or read press coverage of the event may become fans of wrestling because of this single event.
